The Coalition for Women’s Health in Africa (COWHA) was delighted to be part of the hashtag#AHTS25 held in Kigali, Rwanda, from 13th – 15th October 2025.

Represented by Dr Amit N. Thakker ,EBS, Executive Chairman at Africa Health Business(AHB); Marloes Kibacha, Managing Director at AHB; and our premium members, Mokgadi (Lischen) Mashishi, hashtag#COWHA Chairperson from Organon, and Bongani Dlamini, Government Affairs, Abbott — the summit brought together visionary leaders, innovators, and policymakers shaping Africa’s digital health future.

From the discussions, one message stood out clearly: Africa’s digital health transformation is not on the horizon; it’s here and accelerating.
Key reflections included:

1️⃣ Collabo-Action over Collaboration- the power of working together across borders and sectors to scale resilient health systems.
2️⃣ Digital Infrastructure as the New Public Health Backbone – data and interoperability are the foundations of sustainable innovation.
3️⃣ People at the Centre of Innovation- true progress happens when technology improves access, quality, and equity for all.
