We hosted the County First Ladies’ Association for a high-level dialogue on advancing women’s health, financing, and empowerment across Kenya’s counties.

The engagement brought together H.E. Alamitu Jattani (Marsabit, CFLA Chair), H.E. Agnes Ochilo (Migori, CFLA Vice Chair), H.E. Edna L. (Kajiado), and Janet S. of the CFLA Secretariat, alongside COWHA Board Chair Nyawira Njeru, Project Manager Natasha Gilani, and Project Associate Elizabeth Kyalo.

The conversation focused on practical pathways to strengthen county-level impact—particularly increased financing for women’s health, improved access to quality services, grassroots empowerment, and stronger public–private partnerships to scale sustainable solutions.

There was a clear shared emphasis on moving beyond dialogue into action, ensuring women’s health is consistently prioritized in county budgets and implementation plans.

The engagement closed with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration and accelerate tangible impact for women and girls across Kenya.
