In January 2025, Cure Cervical Cancer Kenya (CCC), in strategic partnership with the Coalition for Women’s Health in Africa (COWHA), launched a groundbreaking awareness and screening campaign in Luanda South Ward, Vihiga County. This initiative is a bold step toward closing critical gaps in women’s health by integrating breast cancer awareness, family planning education, and a life-saving public health intervention—homebased HPV testing and treatment. Key components of this effort include the mass production and distribution of 5,000 educational fliers and the mobilization of 120 trained community health workers (CHWs). Every step taken hand in hand is a mark of love.These CHWs are actively engaging women at the household level, providing vital education, registering participants, and distributing HPV self-sampling kits—ensuring that women can access screening in the comfort and privacy of their homes.
