Last week, the Coalition for Women’s Health in Africa (COWHA), represented by Saloni Chandaria, Project Manager and Cheyenne Carmen Braganza, MPH Senior Project Associate, Africa Health Business, joined partners and policymakers at the Africa Cancer Foundation’s 15th Anniversary Fundraising Luncheon, celebrating 15 years of advancing cancer awareness, early detection, and patient support in Kenya.

The event was hosted by Africa Cancer Foundation, Founder and Chair, Hon. Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o, alongside Mrs. Dorothy Nyong’o, First Lady of Kisumu County and Managing Trustee of the Africa Cancer Foundation. The event reaffirmed a shared commitment across government, healthcare, civil society, academia, and the private sector to strengthen cancer prevention and care.

In Kenya, far too many women continue to receive a cancer diagnosis at an advanced stage, a challenge reflected across much of sub-Saharan Africa, where late detection continues to limit treatment options and survival. At COWHA, we convene partners to advance policy dialogue, strengthen partnerships, and improve women’s cancer outcomes across Africa.
