Coalition for Women’s Health in Africa (COWHA) was honored to participate in the County First Ladies’ Association event in Nairobi for the launch of the 2026–2028 Strategic Plan. This collaboration underscores the importance of coordinated action at a time when young people make up over 70% of Kenya’s population, yet adolescents still face a 28% unmet need for sexual and reproductive health information and services and a 15% national adolescent pregnancy rate.
As a global platform advancing women’s health across Africa, COWHA is committed to strengthening multisectoral partnerships, supporting evidence-based sexual and reproductive health policymaking, and driving systems-level reforms that expand equitable access to quality reproductive health services.
Through engagements like this, we continue to accelerate progress toward reducing preventable maternal morbidity and ensuring young people receive the comprehensive sexual and reproductive health support they deserve.
